1. Who We Are

2. Data Storage

DollarGuard stores all financial data exclusively on your device using Apple's SwiftData framework. This includes:

• Transactions (income, expenses, transfers)
• Account information and balances
• Categories and payee/payer names
• Recurring transaction rules
• Transaction attachments
• App settings and preferences

3. iCloud Backup

DollarGuard supports optional iCloud backup through Apple's built-in device backup system. If you have iCloud backup enabled on your device, your DollarGuard data may be included in your device backup. This is controlled entirely by your iOS settings and Apple's iCloud infrastructure, not by DollarGuard. Pleuribus does not have access to your iCloud backups.

4. AI Assistant (PATCH)

DollarGuard includes an AI-powered assistant called PATCH that can answer questions about your financial data. PATCH processes your queries using an external AI service (OpenAI) to generate responses.

When you use PATCH:

• Your question is sent to OpenAI's API for processing
• Relevant financial data needed to answer your question is included in the request
• OpenAI's data retention and processing policies apply to these interactions
• No financial data is stored permanently by the AI service

If you prefer not to share any data with external services, you can simply not use the PATCH feature. All other app functionality works entirely offline.

5. Data We Do Not Collect

DollarGuard does not collect, transmit, or have access to:

• Your name, email address, or any personal identifiers
• Your location data
• Your contacts or calendar
• Your browsing history
• Device identifiers or advertising IDs
• Usage analytics or telemetry
• Crash reports (unless you opt in via Apple's standard crash reporting)

6. Third-Party Services

DollarGuard does not integrate with any third-party analytics, advertising, or tracking services. There are no third-party SDKs embedded in the app for the purpose of data collection. The only external service used is OpenAI's API for the optional PATCH AI assistant feature.

7. Security

DollarGuard provides multiple layers of security for your financial data:

• App-level passcode protection with customizable code
• Biometric authentication (Face ID / Touch ID)
• Privacy screen that obscures content when the app is in the background
• Data stored using Apple's SwiftData framework with standard iOS encryption
• Audit logging of all data modifications for accountability

8. Data Export and Deletion

You have full control over your data at all times:

• Export your complete transaction history as CSV at any time
• Delete individual transactions, accounts, or categories
• Clear all app data from within the app settings
• Uninstalling the app removes all locally stored data

9. Children's Privacy

DollarGuard is not directed at children under the age of 13. We do not knowingly collect any information from children. Since the app does not collect personal information from any user, there is no children's data to be concerned about.

10. Changes to This Policy

If we make material changes to this privacy policy, we will update the effective date at the top of this page. Since we do not collect your contact information, we encourage you to review this policy periodically. Continued use of DollarGuard after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
